Grey box when i tap a notification in my lock screen.

So i recently got the LG G4, and i really like it so far, but whenever i get a notificiation and i tap it on my lock screen it says swipe to unlock and at the bottom there is a big grey box. Does anyone know what it is?

That grey box is where it wants you to swipe to unlock the phone and then it will take you to that app.

If you expand the notification and then click on it, you can bypass the grey box and having to swipe.
