Grrrrrr.....Twitter Auto Sync (And words with friends too!)

So I'm having quite the weird phenomenon. I had Peep set up with my twitter account. I had sync turned off, I just updated when i opened. Well, twice i went into "accounts and sync" to find that it was set to sync. In the app I had it set to manually update. So, I installed the twitter app. Same thing! I have it set so that I manually update it, but it's set to sync under "accounts and sync." I unchecked the sync check mark. When I went back in today, it was checked again! The same with "words with friends." I had it set to never send notifications. Today i went in the app, it was set to send them every five minutes! Is this some sort of supernatural occurrence, or has anyone else had a similar experience?

Hit menu and settings then go to accounts and sync and what do you see under manage accounts?
