So we all know Samsung doesn't make the best radios. Any word on if the GS3 will have a better radio/modem?

He's using an Epic Touch like me and I can vouch for him on the fact that the Radios in the Sprint GS2 sucks. When I place a call or receive a call the sound quality is often very poor

I too have an Epic Touch 4G and it's pretty lol in terms of radios. Phone calls are decent-ish but my 3g gets like .30 mbs. Coming off an Evo 3D where I was consistently getting 1-1.5 mbs. My Nexus S 4g was also bad in terms of that, also Wi-Fi on my two samsung phones has been spotty as well. No 4g in my area, and as much as I would like to get the new S3 I don't think I can stand to have such weak radios in a device ever again.

Excuse my ignorance...but does this mean the radio is bad on just the Sprint version or on all of the carriers? If I pass up the HTC EVOLTE for this phone I would like to have decent service and if it's going to be available on all carriers I would be willing to go on and switch.

Samsung in general hasn't had the best reputation for radio quality.. I've had an Epic 4g and currently NS4G and its "usable" on the good days...

This too has me worried about the device... If I knew it had better radio in it I would be on it like that, but again I'm worried about poor radio quality so I keep the HTC EVO 4G LTE on my radar screen as my research continues...

It is a shame because its a nice device otherwise...
