Am going to be getting an ATT GS3 soon and am a noob coming from years of iOS. Has anyone done a ground up tutorial on setting up and using the GS3 in detail? Since Sammy built so many features into the new TW, it's a bit daunting. Would also be nice to know which launchers, etc. are advisable along with apps that don't rob the battery or slow the phone down.

Of course, coming from an iP3G which runs at the speed of a drunk slug moving through quicksand, it won't take much, LOL.

Thanks so much.

I know there are a few user manuals floating around here.. I don't have the exact post but someone definitely posted it

Hey Jontalk after much debate and discussion is it true you've decided upon the GS3? Great selection.

I plan to pick one up tomorrow (although I have no intention of giving up my G-Note). I just want to try it out and since I have two free lines on Sprint I will give the GS3 a whirl for a few weeks.

Of course you know the Note is the only device I could use as my daily device, but the gadget junkie in me won't let me resist picking up the GS3 and giving all those new features a spin.

Enjoy. Let me know how you make out.

Galaxy Note! Phone. Tablet. Planner. Notepad. eReader. The only device I need!

Phone Arena and Android Authority have some good ones as well. They are both a bit long but thorough.

Thanks guys.. much appreciated.

DAS, I know you're "Mr. G Note", but in the end, the GS3 is faster, runs ICS, more to my taste and definitely the best option out there now, so yes, I'm going with the GS3.

Not a manual but two part review from Heelsntech is very informative

Here's a nice primer as well until you settle on a 3rd party launcher:
TouchWiz Nature UX: The definitive guide

As for those the 3 I've tried so far are:
Apex Launcher
Nova Launcher
GO Launcher EX

They first two have free versions so you can try 'em out and Go Launcher is completely free, so the best thing to do is download all three and see which of them you prefer (I've settled on Apex myself but am tempted by some features of Go Launcher like app search).
