Re: Galaxy S5 vs. HTC One (M8)
Sounds good. But, I am curious as to why you traded your M8?
I had the m8 for a week before i decided to trade it in for a s5.
REasons I didn't like the m8?
Being a college student make me forget about my charger sometimes whe im in a rush and sometimes i forget to charge my phone, i hate when that happens. and the m8 battery actually doesnt last long for me after i played some games and watched movies on it.
with the s5 i got an extra battery and its awesome, i have 1 fully charged battery now so even if i run out of my current one i just pop the back off and switch outt he batteries and BAM
100% battery instantly...
next is the camera , now this didnt batter much to me, but after a while i tried to crop one of my photos. man did it look nasty on my m8. but it was decent, nothing special.
next was the back . not sure how to explaing it but a flat back feels way better than a rounded back like the m8 has. i came from the droid razr maxx and i liked the back how it felt, it feels pretty much better on the s5. the m8's back is so rounded it makes it hard to get a great grip on it if you try one handing it, but with the s5? no problem at all.
3rd and probably the biggest problem i had with m8... the touch bottons at the bottom, man do i HATE HATE HATE them so much, because they rarely go away, and make your 5 inch screen....4.8 inches actually, and not sure if someof you noticed but the bezel at the bottom witht the htc logo on it + the touch buttons give you this BAAD look on your phone, it makes the screen look wierd wen you are watching a video on netflix or youtube in full screen too.
it's a shame i really loved the htc one originals look and feel and i wished the m8 would be a great upgrade for it, but man did they screw up the phone in some ways so badly that it basically made me dislike it, really wished they just made an htc one with the physical touch buttons, sd card and kept the back flat with a 5 inch screen. the stereo speakers are awesome though. but its not worth it just for that,
i thought i would hate the s5 due to all the hate samsung gets from people (the "apple of android") but, wow its good. no lagg at all and more options on how to customize it than the htc one .... i can actually have my wallpapers scrolling unlike the htc one m8.
yeah s5 if you are active teen or something sure it'll be generic and people will say your following the crowd and that you are a sheep for buying an s5 but it doesnt matter because it actually is a good phone and it does what it needs to do .
