Well, I bought a SIM in Germany from some company id never heard of, and it is working.

Any unlocking required?

I have the Motorola Photon from Sprint and i have already bought the Unlocking Code for these phones. Just want to know how to enter the code into this phone. I have already tried by entering the Un Accepted Sim Card but not asking to enter code. Please Help.

Hi Everyone

I think someone could take a look with an SQL editor (market) there are 2 databases called Settings Storage which contain a lot of the GSM settings of the phone and alot of them are marked with 0 (disable) and I think if they are turned on using 1 (enable) you will unlock the GSM for domestic use with ATT or T-mobile prepaid card.

What did you buy? From whom?

What are you trying to do? Unlock the phone on US GSM carriers?

I suspect you wasted your money on something you don't need and that won't work.

Any unlocking required?

No. all I had to do was unlock the card by entering the code that came on the same piece of plastic. And maybe I had to reboot, I don't recall.

I was cheap and only bought phone service, not data service. I gather you have to mess with the configurations to activate data.

But it is unlocked overseas. Just not in the US.

I am in Peru right now, and it works fine in GSM mode.

peru has cdma too, used it at one of ruins in Costo but no data on cdma (2010), gsm was fast in colombia, bought unlimited dafa for one week 20$

i use as 2nd phone, i have ATT prepaid , good for 2ns line, i hope we get hardware unlock for gsm radio soon

Does this mean that this phone will have a SIM card and when I travel outside the US I can just buy a SIM card in the country I travel to? If that's the case then fantastic
