Is there a reason, other than the obvious (international travel), to choose one over the other? Battery life implications?
I know - that's why I'm asking. Which should be chosen? I had a Verizon rep tell me when we unboxed my Turbo two years ago that the LTE option was better. It was also determined on the Turbo forum here that LTE was better on battery life. I'm wondering if the same holds true for the Pixel. The Pixel supports both, in the same phone, so I am unsure what you mean by your question.

Ok, perfect, exactly the kind of logic that works for me. Thank you!If u are on Verizon, and not leaving the country, most use the LTE/CDMA setting. Keeps the scanning down which in theory saves battery. In global, it scans for GSM as well, which if your on Verizon, you won't use in the US.
