That sounds like the bootloader, not the ROM. I remember when I downloaded the JB bootloader it took all of half a second, but the MD5 matched so I was good.

Let me take a look at it. At this rate, I honestly think it'd be a bit safer just to find a custom rom. You don't need to be rooted to flash it; it'll be rooted itself.

Thanks for looking into it... I'll start researching custom ROMS in the interim.

Since I dont get my hands dirty that often (except when new releases come out), I wanted the Official ROM update, so that future updates can come via OTA. Sounds crazy, but by the time the next update comes, I'll likely have forgotten how to flash, and would have to relearn it, so I was hoping to just wait for the OTA next time (Jelly Bean really tickled my curiosity more than previous updateS for some reason).

My understanding is that most official OTA won't update unless everything is stock.

Wow, I'm surprised that source came out with all kinds of problems for the devs across the board, seems like the gsm port was a stroke of genius.

I been checking out the mod scene for jelly bean, and contrary to my last post, there is quite a bit of modding going on for jb. With this revelation, I have decided to get back on jb one short day after I declared jb not snazzy enough.
I have decided on bugless beast for now. In some of the other jb roms, they have mods listed that claim to be only for the specific rom. However guessing at this point jb is in its infancy and therefore quite similar as far as systemUI mods are concerned, I be flashing stuff made for jelly belly and other jb roms. I did the percent battery and large menu softkey mod and works fine on bb.
There is a crazy dialer mod thread and the op has lots of unique dialer screens. Yeah I like to mod the dialer. Plus I been flashing fonts and zipthemer stuff made for ics and they seem to work fine.
So I now declare jb good enough to run daily. It's still not there yet as far as mods but livable.
Plus the speed and stability is great.

Just an fyi, ADW EX don't work on jb. I am one of the few diehard adw guys and was bummed when adw just put a bunch of gibberish on the screen.

So I am on apex and getting used to it. It's ok but the dock is too big. I can handle.

To you guys on the paid version, is it worth it to get it? Using the free one now.

I think you can make the dock smaller in APEX - in other words, it condenses it closer to the bottom of the screen, I think

thanks. i flashed it, will see how it goes.

i flashed another mod alongside it, one of the battery mods from xda, which totally screwed up the UI, so i had to reflash... ill be happy with the regular battery bar for now

Been running BB all day and i honestly don't like it. Going back to Jelly Belly as soon as is downloads. I hate the chrome browser, the stock browser is so much better in JB. i knew 2def put a way to fix it, but there were some other little things I don't like either. This is what I get for straying, but i'm sure i'll do it again tomorrow *sigh*

Im going back to jelly belly as i type this. It is more my taste than bb. Im on trinity 1683 a28 with the 534(maybe a different number) and its a boss. Would totes go with trinity for a kernel for sure.
