so feature-wise, whats the best rom out there? i'll probably DF JB3.6 for now, but want to consider other options.

looking at rw, i see BB, Xenon, CM10 Kangs, Vicious, BAMF, EOS, ParanoidAndroid, RootzBoat, etc.... and this is before guys like Roman even put anything out. it truly is a modder's paradise out there, but too many to choose from...

CM10 is very nice. Nice and snappy. Love the boot animation too

There's a new update, btw. Profiles and lockscreen weather should work?

I've been dirty flashing since the 3.1 release, no issues....I can not confirm it but I heard jakeday say the gapps14 fixed the auto download issue.

XenonHD has reboot option in power menu, but none of the rest. CM10 is the most advanced features wise I have seen for sure.

Apparently EOS has the notification toggles baked in, but I have no idea if that's for toro and I have no idea if it's simply the .apk of that app and not true, functioning toggles.

Yes. You need to flash the binary as well then download superuser from the Play Store.

so the changelog for JB3.5/2.6 mentions a fix for the phone getting hot... anyone know if this was a function of the kernel (ie. if i go back to franco r220 after flash, will i lose the "fix")

My phone got hot on 3.4. It didn't on 3.5 and "so far" it hasn't on 3.6. That being said, I just switched to Trinity to see how it would perform. It hasn't been hot...

The franco app was being weird so I'm going to wait for him to update it and perhaps a newer kernel before going back.
