Make sure to let the phone boot up fully after you disable lagfix since the kernel has to remap your data storage on boot.

yes, you install via CWM from your SD card...

however, since you are going from a voodoo to a non-voodoo kernel, you have to DISABLE lagix in cwm first

Hi there, you guys have been great and I have done so much reading my head is going to explode at some point. I am at 2.9.2 non voodoo and am thinking of trying the EC10 Source Built ComaVolt TouchWiz from times_infinity (nonvoodoo). Not sure if I missed the obvious but what I am not sure of is how to install it. Is it installed from the zip file on the sdcard using CWM.

I am on 2.9.2 and I thought it was nonvoodoo? I have not done the voodoo steps as far as i know. Not had any conversations with a 'robot lady'. Am I on nonvoodoo? Do I need to do the lagfix change first? Thanks again for all your help.

ok, looks like i have messed up a bit with this kernel. My email (using k9) clock for next polling seems to be stuck 12 hours out. Not sure if it is the kernel, or voodoo/non voodoo. I will do a reinstall thru ODIN to get back to where i was and then learn a little more before i play with kernels.

i reinstalled 2.9.2, K9mail was still messed up. I uninstalled and reinstalled k9 mail and all seems fine now.
