great instructions.....the only problem I have is the COM Mapping doesn't say its downloading

COM Port Mapping (CMP) not downloading?
It should not say downloading (dl) at all. CMP should highlight yellow with it detailing what COM you are on.
If it does not please DL the newest drivers for Samsung and try again.

I did a cwm odin flash and now it wont stay in recvovery mode when i press volume down and power i get to recovery for a few seconds than boots up i can see the hat so i know i have cwm but cant get to the 5 options to get to sd card what i can see in those few seconds is no options

Re-odin. Never has there been an issue with cwm.

no cant get in to cwm recovery opitions i have a cwm backup on my computer as i flash it had it made a backuo than went back to stock than reinstalled cwm and this time i was going to put tu-root on from the sdcard tried your re odin several times the first ones did from andrioid forums.com zip folders from last year than when i got this problem and researched ended here phone seems to work fine recovery boots for few seconds i can see cwm with no options all i had was cwm never no roms im a noob if u could please help thanks

The original cwm had an issue with the phone rebooting after two minutes if you did not flash quick enough. Resulting in having stock recovery write over cwm.
The new cwm (included) took care of that issue.

dont know confused i did a odin stock recovery FLASH and have same issuses now with stock c box and arrow cant misc ect c triangle........ HAT IS GONE STILL C NO OPTIONS EVERY SEEMS FINE JUST WONT STAY IN RECOVERY WITH NO OPTIONS BOOTS TO PHONE ...............WHAT ABOUT STOCK ROM............AND WILL SAMSUNG NO THAT I CWM NOW THAT I HAVE HALF OF A RECOVERY WITH STOCK THAT DONT LOAD............ OTHER WISE PHONE STILL WORKS....THANKS

I need to know exactly what recovery (stock or cwm) you have. Stock recovery has five options while cwm has ten.

As long as you have stock recovery Samsung will know nothing.

THANK YOU............thanks no stock option thats y sending back I CAN NOT GET ANY OPTIONS IN STOCK OR CWM ANYTHING ABOVE THE STOCK TRIANGLE WITH ! OR CWM HAT DONT LOADUP......................................... WHEN RECOVERY STARTS SAMMSUNG LOGO LET GO OF THE POWER BUTTON RECOVERY COMES UP WITH NO OPTIONS ANY BLUE COLOR INFORMATION ................. HAPPENS IN STOCK AND CWM..................................................................................ITS LIKE I HAVE JUST A HALF OF THE RECOVERY THANK YOU

It may two things:

1. You have not put your device into download mode or
2. You need to download the latest Samsung drivers from their website
