[GUIDE] Rooting 3.7/Hboot2.02+ w/screen shots (1/27/2011)

Well, I figured: If I can't build the directory with the cmd prompt, I'll just build it on the card! Put it in disk drive mode temporarily, built the two folders for the key image to go to, put it back in charge only, and went on from there.

Now I'm trying to get past the red triangle.

Stuck at the red triangle.

adb push recovery /

gave "0 files pushed. 0 files skipped"

adb shell busybox --install /sbin

gives me "ADB server didn't ACK. failed to start daemon. error"

This is unbelievably painful.

There is something going on with your sdcard when it's mounted in the phone. Either that or ADB. Hmm, can you try a different usb port?

I thought this might be normal, but maybe it's not: adb server is out of date. killing...

That's the first thing that pops up before the messages I posted earlier.

Switched ports, still not pushing any recovery files. And the busybox daemon starts, but then "cannot connect to daemon."

I'm trying this too. Got stuck on trying to backup the rsa keys. keeps saying no such file or directory exists.

Trying the busybox bin install a few more times. Now it says "exec failed. No such file or directory."

Welcome to the club! You can read my work-around up above, but you'll probably end up where I am right now...stuck.

Well, I just realized my phone's battery hasn't been charging for quite a while now, and I don't know how much more it's gonna last. Can I get back to any semblance of a working phone from the red triangle?

Yeah, i'm not at the red triangle yet. My phone is working at the moment, so maybe i should just quit for now until this gets resolved.

Yeah for sure, you should be able to just reboot and run a RUU file to bring you back to stock, I am very curious about this problem though.

You might have to try an alternative adb driver, though the walk through I created was with the HTC sync program.

Out of curiosity what version of Windows are you on?

I have my stock RUU saved, but I've forgotten how to flash it back.
