[GUIDE]Updating to rooted gingerbread WITHOUT flashing a new ROM or wiping your phone

Re: [GUIDE]Updating to rooted gingerbread WITHOUT flashing a new

es file explorer I had to go into settings and make sure that I had applied root user settings for the file explorer but then the file was easily moved to sd card when rebooting into clockwork to apply zip it fails and I get a error log for cwm, is there another place to download and apply this 2.3.5 update?
This guide is for Froyo. If you have the latest Gingerbread OTA (2.3.5), there isn't a permanent rooting method that will not wipe your device or require a different ROM to be flashed.

I originally rooted using unrevoked nearly a year ago and I have been able to successfully keep root with every successive OTA update using this method. I also used this method a while back to update the latest 2.3.5 (4.67.651.3) software version on my Evo 4g and kept root. Just be sure to use Amon RA (not CWM). It doesnt hurt to update to the most current su either.
