I have two android tv media boxes. The first one is nVidia Shield TV Pro, connected via ethernet, where I can turn on filesharing, it generates a unique password. Then, on my windows 11 pro laptop, I can go to file explorer, type in the IP address, enter the password and transfer files.

However, I recently purchased my second media box: the H96 Max M9 TV Box Android 14 (RK3576), also connected via ethernet. The OS menu settings look a little different (somewhat condensed), which I was assuming because it's running Android TV OS Version 14. I'm not able to find/activate filesharing similar to my Shield TV Pro.

Is there a way other than FTP to do file transfers over the windows network?

If the option is not on the 'native' Settings, the generic media box stripped this from the OS. You'd have to use a 3rd party file transfer app that supports installation on Android TVs. Bear in mind that the Shield TV is a WAY MORE feature-packed box that may have added that specific feature for their streamer and it's not something you'd find in generic ones.

is there a 3rd party that someone could recommend that is not FTP and works on windows 11 pro?
