Hi, i'll try to keep this short as possible

Phone: Huawei P20

Carrier: UK Vodfone Contract.

Are there any known bugs on the Android OS that cause notifications to disappear from the lockscreen after receiving them?

Say I received several notifications late at night and checked my phone's lock screen before i headed to bed. If I wake up, and they're not there, are they known to disappear, or does that mean the phone has been unlocked? Is this a known issue, or has anyone else had this issue?

It's very worrying due to sensitivity and I'd like to be sure if it was a bug, since I saw talks on Android forums that there was a bug before that wiped notifications immediately as they came, but I know for a fact I checked my notifications about 5 mins after they arrived.

I have tried to ask this on the Huawei subreddit, but to no avail. Tried the Android main subreddit but that might have been the wrong place as it was removed.

Cheers.

Welcome to Android Central! I don't know the answer to this, but I wonder if it has to do with Huawei's overly aggressive RAM management. Huawei phones really like to obliterate apps out of RAM soon after you switch to another app to "clean RAM" (grrrr:mad:) unless you dig into the System Settings to find the option to Protect apps from this process. Maybe if the app that served up the notification got killed, the lockscreen notification also got wiped out? To be honest, I'm not sure this would even happen in this kind of situation, but you could experiment by Protecting one of those apps whose notifications seem to disappear, and see if they survive.
