You need to consider other factors too, like efficiency of the software and hardware.
The hardware in the V20 is much more efficient than the one in the V10. Coupled with the larger battery, battery LIFE should be quite solid.
This phone is still going to have what I consider to be mediocre battery life. It's probably going to have around 4-4.5 hours of screen on time like the Note 5.I don't agree, Android is becoming more efficient with Nougat. The V10 sucked because of the 808 and Lollipop.

Yeah, but 3200mAh ensures you will need a second battery. The battery isn't much larger than the battery in the V10.
I think I pretty much said the same thing.![]()
You'll see this on any digital camera with adjustable formatting.why does it shoot at 4:3 in 16 mp and 16:9 in 12mp?

Think of it as looking at an image on a computer screen at 4:3. That would be the full resolution of the camera sensor corner to corner. If you want to crop that screen image to a 16:9 format, are you adding additional pixels to the sides, outside the boundary of the image/sensor? No. You cut off some from the top and bottom, which cuts down the total resolution count. Shooting in 16:9 is doing this, only at the sensor level.
I guess it's theoretically possible to create a 16:9 format sensor, giving you full resolution with a drop when shooting 4:3, but I'm not aware of any sensor made like that today for the consumer market.
It's early to tell.We can compare it to other phones with the same display size and roughly the same battery size. This phone is going to disappoint with battery life just like comparable phones do.
Yes that really annoys me. I prefer 16:9 as it uses the whole screen real estate.why does it shoot at 4:3 in 16 mp and 16:9 in 12mp?
Previous sensors were already 16:9 though. You'll see this on any digital camera with adjustable formatting.

To me if the phone has all these amazing camera features for stills and video people like me want to actually use the phone. If the 3200mAh battery holds up fine but if it's in the same ballpark of the V10 I guess we'll have to wait for a battery extension from a third party. That's one of the benefits of having removable back even though they manage to make battery extenders for sealed battery phones as well. In this case the V20 or any phone with removable back is slightly modular in a sense.3200mah is pretty uninspiring when all of the competitors have 3500mah
Only downside (for my preference) is having to upgrade to a bigger battery with a bigger back means no case for my phone. Even with drop protection, I love having a case lolTo me if the phone has all these amazing camera features for stills and video people like me want to actually use the phone. Lol appreciate it.We don't do cases around here.lol But the material used is really durable so that should give you a little peace of mind.

There are already drop tests done by Android Authority on YouTube. Handled like a champ. For "every day" or normal drops you should be fine. Or just use your phone in places where there is an immediate surface beneath your hands or carpet and do the case for travelling/no case at home duo. Maybe a lot of maneuvering but it will protect your investment.Which is great, seeing how often it will slip out of my hands...
Uhh.. nobody forgot about the lack of removable battery. People still want it.
