Well... here we are... 7:40 am and it says backordered..

Ordered on the 15th, White version.

Guess i'm not getting it today.

If 3pm happens and i don't get one, i'm canceling the order/refund, and canceling my ATT Service. I'm merely doing so out of Principle that i've been LIED to and strung around.

You ordered ON THE 15TH and you're acting like a pissed off kid on the playground? WOW, you really need to get a life! I thought you must have been one of the ones who ordered at 0-dark-30 on the 6th. There are 9 days worth of preorders before yours, yanno?

Stop patronizing those that are upset.

Ladies and gentlemen... Looks like we have a major first world crisis on our hands!

If your biggest problem is that there is a possibility your new phone might show up a few days late , then congratulations having a life free of real problems!

In other words, relax folks! Your phones are coming

(I preordered my white SG3 the first day possible, and im excited for it to arrive when it does!)

And some of us have been serving our countries for over 22 years, living in sh1thole 3rd world countries, sometimes freezing, sometimes sweating, but each time wishing we were home. And now some of us are in physical therapy rehab, choking down ambien and vicodin on a daly basis in order to sleep and counter pain. Trust me, you haven't the first clue about real life problems.

So, if I want to complain about this, I believe I have earned that right. thanks.

AT&T clearly let customers know on the front end that fulfillment was on FCFS. The number of pre-orders for all carriers must be unprecedented for them to have inventory issues. I pre-ordered my wife's i4s the second day of pre-orders at AT&T and got it a week after it was officially released. AT&T also pushed backed the date for some orders to June 28 most likely due to demand and let customers know in advance. Doubt the HOX was this hot prior to release.

Maybe you don't have the ability to read? or maybe it's ignorance and you didn't know.. but you realize ATT has officially told people that if you ordered before 3pm on the 18th? have you seen that notice?

Or maybe you have and you don't care. I'm not going to over analyze what's going on your way because frankly i don't care- but before you go off trying to be witty or insult someone? get your facts straight, I'm working off of being lied to from a company.

15th, 16th, 17th, doesn't matter it's all irrelevant because we pre ordered before the 18th.

i agree. The hold on my checking account for the noncommitment price was returned for some reason but it still shows backordered on the site. I ordered blue on the 18th and yes i am ticked off that EVERYONE hasnt received the shipped email. I too am mad that the email said shipped on or before the 21st. Im really not expecting my phone for a while but if at&t wasnt sure about the ship dates dont send me the email saying i will receive by a certain date and then not have a clue when it will actually ship.

This ^ don't send us a communication if it's incorrect... i mean this is amateur hour stuff here that i would expect from maybe Interns first learning how to communicate with customers.

Fedex puts in the waybills manually. Go to school with someone who used to work for them and that's what she did. I was shocked when she told me because I've been on tours at their Indy sort facility, the amount of automation is insane. For some reason some things are still done manually.

Let me just say, this isn't true. There are some things that get done manually for a variety of reasons, but there are exceptions. Unfortunately there are also a lot of ways the backend processing can happen and most of them can lead to having the phone before you actually get a tracking number. Especially when dealing with Overnight shipments. However all of these scenarios involve a metric -ton of automation and no one using manual waybills.

i know its not my job to help anyone gain a perspective here, (plus its wayyyy too tall an order : ) but really, who loses if u cancel ur order? sadly only you.

YOU miss out on enjoying all the goodness the phone has to offer, and if u think going to another carrier will offer a frustration free experience, just visit the forum of the carrier u r thinking of moving to, all the gripes, the problems, the injustice, its all there.

For me personally, i've made my peace with the simple fact that until a cell chip is implanted in my head and i am free from all carrier support, it will never be an enjoyable experience dealing with AT&T, Sprint, T-Mo and (especially) Verizon.....They may offer satisfaction on ONE level, but then they solely disappoint on another.

Hopefully, this is where Straight Talk comes in, am anxiously waiting for the SGS iii so i can pop in my new ST card and see how the device works off of AT&T's towers... Yup, i'm capped at 2GB, but i think it'll be ok, since i'm not in a LTE area : )

Ever ordered a meal at a restaurant and something goes wrong? In life these things happen...gotta take it in stride...it sucks when everyone else is eating and you're waiting because either the waiter forgot to put your order in, the chef forgot to make it, etc. but it happens!

I wouldn't flip over the table, punch the manager in the face, call the police, and scream bloody murder about never coming back...lol

Go to Dictionary.com | Find the Meanings and Definitions of Words at Dictionary.com and look up the definition of EXPECTED. Now look up the definition of PROMISED and also of GUARANTEED. Now, go back and look at the language you quoted. Pretty simple, really!

(FWIW, I ordered on the 13th, and mine isn't showing shipped either. Its just that I choose to be an adult about it and not go off the deep end.)

And I'm betting you won't REALLY end up cancelling your AT&T service over this - since you're not going to walk into any competitor today and get an S3 either!

please dont take it as i am trying to rub it in everyones face..... that is NOT the case. i just believe in communication. I am just informing everyone of my status and i think that it is BULL **** that ATT does not put out a statement about anything to do with a release date for galaxy s III.

at this moment no one knows when it will be available to purchase in stores.

at this moment 90%? of people dont know when they will be getting there pre order. i mean come on! i ordered mine super late.... and i am going to have it today... while others just sit there with no information outside of a order status page....

JUST GIVE YOUR CUSTOMERS THE PRODUCT THEY ORDERED WHEN YOU (ATT) SAID IT WAS EXPECTED TO BE DELIVERED!!

i can assure you of you have a email stating on or before 21th you can get some compensation from att all you have to do is call....

People, Poeple......settle, settle! Wow the level of hostilaty in this room....over a flipping phone. This reminds me of the Galaxy 2s commercial where all the apple clones are standing in line waiting for the new iPhone, only thier line was civilized! But this is definitely entertaining this morning....LMAO.

All in all I do understand some peoples gripes for sure, I think AT&T should have been more open and upfront with a press release like Sprint did its customers, but in the end I wouldnt blame the carrier. Its Samsung that hyped this phone up so much, then decided to release it to all 4 major US carriers simultaneously and not have enough supply to satisfy the demand here. In any case, I dont think anyone was lied to or mislead, people just tend to see or hear what they want to see or hear.

In anycase when the dust settles in armagedeon and you get your phones, I think everyone will be happy...so what one more week....eh. Its just a phone that will be out of date in 6 months anyway..

Congrats to all those getting thiers today and good luck for the ones who have to wait a week.

(Luckily for me, mine's on its way.....peace!!)
