If you bought your X on launch day (like me) on a two-year contract (like me) and didn't in some fashion upgrade early, then today should be your upgrade day!

So, let's hear it. Who's leaving? (Is anyone still here? :-P ) Anyone else keeping their X for the time being? I am. This is, hands down, the best phone I've ever had. Honestly, it's the first time I haven't KNOWN what phone is next by the time NE2 rolls around. I know the RAZR MAXX and Gal Nex are awesome, but I just don't see a compelling reason to drop the $$ yet. I'm sticking with my trusty (and nigh-indestructible) DX with CM7.

Yea things here sure have quieted down lately with the new, futuristic, ahead of the times devices out and coming out soon. Im still on my X til Aug so Im nearly also one of the OG DX'ers.
IF I were to be an upgrade bot today myself I would go for the Nexus. Up to date firmware, tons of well verified features, front of the line dev updating, and nearly limitless mod options, etc.
The RAZR/MAXX is a hefty Moto device but for folks who need those popular exterior features & battery life. All depends on what kinda phone user the user is. Im a techy/modder type so Id go for the Nexus cuz I could play with it non stop and mod the poop out of it. If battery life becomes an issue I can just get that monster 3800mAh extended batt like I did for my X.

Waiting to see what quad cores VZ gets before I upgrade.

But my X is definitely showing its age.

First day release buyer of the X as well and like others I just don't see the need to upgrade yet. I can't lie though, helping my sis set up her Razr Maxx a couple weeks ago made me question if I should. Seeing both devices next to each other really showed the X's age :(

Unless my X craps out on me, I really don't expect to upgrade till next year around the end of January.

I've been lucky in that the only other phones I've had lots of hands-on time with recently were iPhones (no thanks,) a dInc2 (gf's phone, still love it but wouldn't buy one now) and those of my immediate family (on Sprint.)

And yeah... i'll get a new phone when they take the x (cold and dead) from my hands. Or, when I have some extra money lying around and REALLYREALLYREALLY want that new SuperMegaInsaneTouchIPS-LED-QED screen with 1.21 jiggawatt hours of battery. Whichever comes first.

I am also a first day release buyer. I have yet to decide what to get. I like the sliding qwerty of the D4, but would like to see if they are going to do a D4 Maxx. Sadly, my DX is starting to crap out. my menu button has gone soft (I have to mash it to get it to respond) and I have a spot in the middle of my screen where there appears to be a air bubble or something behind the glass (similar to when you poorly apply a screen protector) that is very distracting when interacting with the screen.

Day one DroidX user here. I'm giving Verizon until the end of my contract (Jul) to get the Samsung Journal or it's off to AT&T for the Note.

not to mention, with respect to the nexus, that fab has put out Apex for it!

ordered my nexus two days ago. still love my dx. it's going to become my house wifi "mini-tablet" and do some home automation controlling.

I ordered mine just after midnight on release day and activated it on 3/16 so I'm elligible for an upgrade. I'm not giving $250 for an SDless Nexus. I'm likely holding off for now.

I'm sticking with my DX untill it A) self destructs B) it takes an unintential leap of faith C) gets lost.

Either way, I have a backup DX in the event of the above mentioned 3 happens. I am kinda wanting a new device, but 4G isn't a necessity for me so the new devices don't really impress me. I'm waiting to see what Moto does in regard to their wonky bootloaders. I don't trust Samsung radios. LG should focus on televisions.
Once the quad core devices have some time under their belt, I may consider an upgrade. But, untill then, long live the DX!
