Hardware Versions: 0002 or 0003? Also, HTC called me back about the screen issue..

Okay, well I got a call from HTC regarding this issue. They are calling everyone who has had this issue with the screen. He wants pictures and other info about your phone to see if they can narrow it down to possibly a bad built batch from a certain date frame, or if it's just a overall bad design..

A interesting thing one of my buddies told me was, he doesn't have any issues with his phone, his is hardware version 0003, mine is a 0002. I'm curious to know if this has anything to do with what we are going through.

I'm going to make a new thread to reflect a poll for that question, and just chime in and let me know if you have 0002 or 0003 hardware versions. Thanks guys!

Also, if you can just make a quick post letting us know what HW version you have, and any issues (if applicable).

I have 0003 and no issues that I can find. No light leakage or lifting screen corners.

edit: i have the non responsive screen when not being held issue.

0002, very minor light leakage under bottom buttons and slight lift. Neither has bugged me since it's all covered up with the Platinum case.

from this survey, it seems like it maybe hardware version 0002 has the issues, but only a handful of ya have replied. Let's just hope it's a bad batch of 0002 and people with 0002's get replacements.

If we purchased it from other retailers than Sprint, we go through the replacement through the retailer right? Just wondering because this is my first time not the getting the phone directly from Sprint.

I have some light leakage on the bottom. Mostly below my home button. Very minor light leakage below the rest. Can only see it in dim lighting.

Are they going to issue us to return for a replacement if needed?

I have the "unresponsiveness" when not being held (but I'm not convinced this is a real issue).

No issue that I would complain about. Just some minor light 'leakage' when the brightness is turned up and I am in a dim/dark room.

~6 hours of heavy use and 30+ hours of normal use.
