Has anyone ever had volume issues during calls?

My wife has been complaining that when she calls people, they say she sounds like she's far away from the phone. has anyone else had this issue or know a way to fix? the phone is only 4 months old...

we both have the otterbox defender.

If you can test making a call while on it if you can use the volume up button to see if it goes higher the volume?

Another thing if it checks ok , try safe mode making calls if same

The most common problem people have is the speaker is a real tiny slit at the top of the phone, whereas we were used to a lower location. Look hard at the top where the case sits and there should be a cut out, that's where you want your ear to go, not the camera circle.

Once you find the sweet spot you'll find that the phone has a lot of volume.
