Has anyone gotten the sideloading update yet?

I had the update but I had to do a factory reset on my phone and lost it. I called at&t and they told me they have a tool they use to push it to your phone but when I called today it was down. Supposedly they suppose to call me tomorrow evening and ill hopefully have it again tomorrow. But if anybody takes this advice and call and ask you will have to thoroughly explain to them you're talking about the side loading update. The guys they had me talk to kept on saying my phone was up to date but they were referring to the 4G update. The side loading update doesn't mess with the firmware from what they explained to me.

Actually, they might understand better if you call it the 3rd party apps update, or the unknown sources update. They don't understand sideloading because that's the name for the cheat that was built to get around the 3rd party block.

Mine showed up last Thursday after I did a battery-pull restart.
Many of the stories I've read said that that shouldn't matter, but it's a heck of a coincidence that it came through right then.

Ah I see. I did mention unknown sources update and the guy sounded clueless. I was getting super aggravated but I kept my cool and me and the tech worked it out. I didn't mention 3rd party update though. The tech said he's leaving info on the file so whoever calls ne tomorrow will be on the same page.

Received mine a few days ago. Not sure about all that can now be done with it. Loving the phone though except for battery life.

Okay so I thought everyone was supposed to get it by the 23rd??? It's 5:30 in Seattle on the 23rd and I still haven't gotten it. I usually don't complain, but this is seriously getting ridiculous. They should have let people manually get the update or some other way that isn't completely random like they are doing. And I just had to wait nearly a month to play on psn because it got hacked so it's like im really tired of waiting. lol

Yeahh same here Mann. I'm from socal and still nothing! And I agree with hawks.I am also tired of waiting for this stuff. It's absolutely ridiculous. ATT needs to get their act together. This update is so unorganized and sloppy. Get it together ATT!

Hello, my name is Carl. I have never posted anything on a forum on any website. I am excited to share some information for you so you can all get the update for unknown sources. 1.) htc does not give this update because it was a restriction from att 2.) call att and verify your account with account with last four of account holders social security. 3.) tell them specifically this. " I need a manual over the air update pushed to my htc inspire 4g from your technical department using the xbm tool. I need the update to be able to install applications from 3rd party sources such as amazon.com and i was told that you need to be able to access the xbm tool to push it out." Once they get you to technical care and they log into the system they will be able to push the update out, remind them again that you have an htc inspire 4g because if your imei is not correct in their system which means their system thinks you still have an old phone or different phone other than the inspire the update will not work. The imei if you dont know is basically a serial number attached to the type of phone you have so their system knows what they are dealing with. I believe I am the first to release this information online.

I'm also from SoCal, bro. San Diego to be exact. I haven't gotten the update either. Looks like SoCal is one of the last to get it.

I still dont have it in NW arkansas. although i used a different method and have had it since before the update went live anyway.

I just got off the phone with ATT and they told me that their software was down and couldn't send me the update. and they don't know when it'll be back online. IDK if that means they won't be sending out any updates?:'(

sideloading works for me somehow all of a sudden and there is no "unknown sources option"

I think this update is a total hoax. I've called AT&T many times and they have no clue what im talking about.
