Has anyone gotten their galaxy S6 or S6 edge to connect to T-Mobile Band 12 in Manhattan?

Has anyone gotten their galaxy S6 or S6 edge to connect to T-Mobile Band 12 in Manhattan

I have tried setting it to band 12 in the service menu, but get no service, band 4 is the only one working.

Let me know I still have a few days to exchange

Are you trying in exactly the same spot you got band 12 in before? (You realize that midtown alone has more "towers" than some of the larger cities in the US, right? Three buildings from where you were, you may be connecting to a "tower" that hasn't been upgraded yet. Even turning around, in some spots, can change the antenna the phone is connected to.)

I found out, through a lot of google searching, T-Mobile has not activated Band 12 in NYC it works at my parents on Long Island, but not in Manhattan. The reason given is that one of the TV station in New Jersey approximately 13 miles out of the city has an exclusion zone in place that includes Manhattan, the Freq it holds are the T-Mobile Band 12 700 MHz block. The station is channel 52, and doesn't actually use the frequency. There is nothing the FCC or T-Mobile can do until the end of may, when the stations licenses come up for renewal and it is expected like in LA the FCC will revoke the exclusion zone. After that literally all T-Mobile has to do is flip a few switches, the towers are supposedly ready to go. So it's band 4 only in Manhattan for a few more week.
