Has anyone had recent (late 2019-2020) experiences with Pie 9 update on Moto G6?

I just got a new Moto g6 and have been getting a notification to update to Pie 9. I've read many old posts about problems with this update, but none that are very recent.

So, I thought I'd ask if anyone has had recent - like in the last month or two of 2019-Jan 2020 - experiences upgrading a Moto g6 from Oreo 8 to Pie 9, and how it went? Since so many warnings about Pie are from back in the spring or summer, and some say to wait a while to let the bugs be corrected, and since it is now Jan 2020, I wondered if that update is "safer" now and can be installed?

I can just keep dismissing the notice, but thought I'd see if maybe just installing the update is now OK.

Also wondering if that update would eventually just install itself - something I would NOT want!

My G6 has been running just fine for several months on Android 9. The update was so seamless I don't even remember when it happened.

Great to know - thanks so much! I was concerned since there were so many warnings about it earlier on, but by now, any bugs should be worked out. I appreciate your reply and glad to know that the update was a non-issue! Thanks!
