Starting a few days ago my unlock patter screen starting acting up. The bottom three pattern "buttons" stop recognizing my finger sliding over them. Now, the touchscreen knows my finger is there because the green pattern line continues to move through the buttons, but the buttons themselves don't turn green or red. It is really bizarre. I've already asked about this in hardware forums with no help. I'm posting this here because I'm exploring this as a possible Android problem.
I did a complete factory reset and the issue remains. There was no obvious cause of malfunction, like dropping it or something. I stored a new pattern that doesn't use the bottom three buttons and it works for me now, but I'm curious about what is happening. I don't know if it is hardware, software or what. Thanks for any help.
