Have a Nexus 4, should I get a Nexus 7?

Just wondering if its worth having both devices when the screen size isn't all that big of a difference? Opinions of your experiences with both devices. If it's worth the money or not to get a Nexus 7?

I have a nexus 4 and have used a friends iPad mini and its amazing how much nicer that extra 2.5 inches of screen is for web browsing watching YouTube or even just holding it. The 7 incher is great if u want to be taking it with u places. If its mainly going to sit at home id probably opt for the nexus 10 so u get the maximum screen real estate.

Most definitely yes. I have both devices and they service different purposes. The larger screen size imo is much more enjoyable to watch movies and (again imo) much easier to do things that require input or creating content, i.e., working w/spreadsheets. Especially now with the updated Nexus 7, I would recommend both. The reviews so far seem to rave about how great the device is, and it looks like Google put another "winner" out there. I got my Nexus 7(1) and Nexus 4 at the same time and never regretted the purchases. They compliment each other quite nicely.

It depends. Do you want a tablet? Do you need a tablet? Are you already heavily invested in the Android ecosystem, or are you a part timer (i.e., have an iPad or such as well)? If you answered yes to any of those questions (and don't have some Apple investment), then the Nexus 7 compliments the 4 very nicely. The Nexus 7 is better for many tasks, particularly consuming media and doing "work" while saving the battery on your phone. The Nexus 4 of course makes calls, is easier for navigation, has data where the wifi only version of the Nexus 7 doesn't, and is more portable (although the 7 is quite easy to lug around).

The new Nexus seven blows the iPad away. Fast processor, retina display, great battery life , it can't be beat for the price.

Yes I do want a tablet. Do I need a tablet? The answer would be no. I have a laptop for school. I have nothing in the Apple Eco system.

I'd say go for it, then. It can be a lot more convenient to pull out for quick tasks than your laptop, and it's definitely a better e-reader than a laptop. :)

I wish I could make the switch, but I already have an android phone. I use appletv's and airports. Until I can control the airports with something other than an IOS device (don't have a PC) as well as the appletv, I must have at least 1 IOS device. I have a chromecast, but that doesn't solve my airport issue.

go for it!!! One use I have is it saves battery on my phone when i am at home.
I use my tablet more than phone at home and especially playing games. its a good device to carry around rather than carrying a laptop.

Honestly, that is the biggest plus for me too. I use my phone for everything...except when I am home to save battery.

The new nexus 7 is very very nice but I think I will hold out for the new nexus 10
