Yes, Hotspot costs $1/day. Its been confirmed in another post by FrankXS.

Yes, it seems like that. Although I have never stopped my service. Also, it is important to know that this is only for MHS/MBBC unlimited accounts. Otherwise it is prorated with both days and data usage.
