Have You Gotten Jelly Bean 4.3? Thread

If u want OTA 4.3 then go to Apps-> All Apps -> Find Google Service Framework -> Clear Data -> Force stop then go and check for updates. Do this until u get the 4.3 update. It took me 12 tries (which is 3 mins).

No update here in England yet, not really bothered about I though as there isn't much to get excited about. Unless I've missed something

Please do not follow this advice, anyone. See the link I posted just a little while ago and what I've been saying over and over again... sit tight, these get pushed out in phases for a reason. The framework services clearing is known to have the potential to cause you issues later on if you do it.

Last time I did the Google Services Framework thing it killed my gps and I had to reset. Didn't find out it was inactive until I was out and actually needed it.

What issues can it cause?

Is there any way I can tell it not to upgrade? Everything works great now, so if I can delay upgrading until November or December, I figure the bleeding-edge types will shake out all the bugs by then. :D :D

Read up, this for one:

Additionally users have reported bugs from Play Store errors, log in / accounts issues, and probably other things from doing that.... Most importantly, you are getting no gain from doing it. The update will be pushed to your device at the same time anyway, you cannot speed it along in this method. Your device does automatic checks with the server to see if an update is available at set intervals, and you can have it check more by clicking the Check Now button as much as you like. The framework settings data clear "hack" accomplishes the same thing as clicking Check Now for updates, but in fact does more things which can cause you some headaches later.

tl;dr - Click the Check Now button to see if you've been given the update, or wait for your device to look for it automatically. Don't clear the framework services.

I just received the OTA update. It is downloading as we speak. It says that is is available via wifi only until July 27 so make sure you are on wifi to receive it. BTW - I am in Calgary.

Don't know exactly when but i have a notification that says"system update downloaded" so i guess i have the jelly bean 4.3 update. Just had to post in this thread. Brandon, MS USA. :D
