Have You Gotten Jelly Bean 4.3? Thread

What's the exact error? Post a screenshot.

I forgot. It was a bunch of words, I had the adb sideload done sent successfully. However it was downhill, it said something was wrong. I'm going to try again in a bit. Will post the error, if there isn't one, (fingers crossed) then.

+1

Stupid roll outs. One thing Apple does kinda right is updates.

Realized it is because I flashed Motley Kernel once upon a time. Can someone upload a stock file of "power.grouper.so", Nexus 7, for me? Would be greatly appreciated. Can only find one for android 4.1.2.

Neither my wife or I have the update here in central Florida. She just got hers delivered yesterday and was excited when I told her that 4.3 was rolling out yesterday.

My ota update was interrupted and now I can't do anything to get it to come back again. Anyone have experience with this?

Had nothing to do. Went ahead and upgraded by following these instructions.

Encountered only 2 minor quirks during the upgrade. Detailed here -->

Dear Fellow Noobs: This is my first sideload upgrade ever. Its safe to upgrade, if you are running the stock 4.2.2 version :)

I got too impatient and used this method and I'm on 4.3! Might as well learn now, as there's no way I'm waiting for OTA for 5.0. Google needs an easier way to upgrade for people who want it NOW (and it's only what 150MB??). If, like me, you've never sideloaded, Dubai's tips helped with holding down the right buttons. I used Windows 7, which was a bit finicky. It was about as hard/frustrating as Jailbreaking for the first time, a few hurdles but not terrible.

As for 4.3, the touch responsiveness is definitely better. It never bugged me, but it's much faster now. Not as fast as iOS, I'd say in the middle between Nexus 4 on 4.2.2 and an iPhone. Coming from an upgrade (not a fresh install), everything is still super fast and fluid. The new camera app is very nice, options are easier, and you can finally use the volume button to snap pictures!
