Ok, so I have a generalized question about hboot 1.5 and s-off. I originally got my 3d in July, and it had shooter on it. I had it unlocked and s-off as soon as I found a thread explaining it, and never looked back. One day, my screen decided to give out and start ghost pressing buttons, so I went to Scott's Roms and downloaded what I thought was the RUU that included hboot 1.4, and returned to stock as per this thread:

I even put it back s-on to be safe. So I go to Sprint, get my screen replaced, get home, and get ready to re-root and re-flash my setup. So I boot into the bootloader only to find I have hboot 1.5 :'( . Now, this was just after HTC opened up their unlocker, so I thought "Well, why not?" and went on over to HTC Dev, ran the unlocker (Which, on an unrelated note, was actually done with pretty intuitive instructions. I had my mom unlock her 3d without my help there, and my mom is techno-challenged.), and went to go see if I could find instructions for flashing under this new method. However, when I booted back into the bootloader, not only did it say unlocked, it was s-off again. Now, I know the HTC bootloader doesn't give s-off. I had flashed the RUU with 1.5 before I went to the store, so I don't see that anything there would have given me s-off.
So does anyone have any ideas how my s-off came back? I'm not complaining mind you, with s-off I don't have to use fastboot, I can just use the same methods I did with 1.4 for flashing and replacing recoveries. I'm just wondering how my s-off could have mysteriously returned even when I accidentally upgraded to hboot 1.5 with an RUU.
