Hboot to 2.18 with latest ota update!

HBOOT version, it was bumped up to 2.18 (which is unlockable at this point i think, so stuck with s-on) with latest ota update!!

Running 2.3.5
Carrier IQ was removed

I updated while running stock Bootloader looks like this:

*** LOCKED (OOW) ***
SUPERSONIC EVT2-3 SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-2.18.0001

Yeah I'm wanting to root too. But I have to revert back to 2.3.3 in order to do so except I'm not sure how to go about doing so.

i used unrevoked forever when i originally rooted way back, so i have perm s-off. if i take this upgrade with the new hboot, will i loose my s-off?

If you have s off why not just flash something like Mikg. Sense 2.1 and more stable than anything sprint will push.

If you want to be able to go back to a point where you can have root, try this procedure. It reflashes the phone with Android 2.2...may update HBoot to lower version that can be rooted.

No, you will not.

If you want to be able to go back to a point where you can have root, try this procedure. It reflashes the phone with Android 2.2...may update HBoot to lower version that can be rooted.

Theres no need to break ur head over flashing over to 2.2. Theres a way to root even with the new hboot. Read up here. http://forums.androidcentral.com/ht...26-guide-rooting-phone-hboot-2-18-0001-a.html
