Post what you think about honeycomb please. I want to know if it's worth it to "upgrade". I've read complaints about battery life, heat, the menu bar, etc.
I personally am going to wait and see what others views are.

I used Froyo just for a week as I only had the tablet that long. I don't miss it. I like the home screen a lot better as you are allowed more apps per screen. I've been using it for 2 hrs uptime since the upgrade and battery is down to 71% with Pandora or Tunein playing most of that time. I have the cell radio off and only wifi on. Seems just as snappy as before. I like the Applications area too more as it slides left/right now.

The HTC buttons are disabled because the Honeycomb ones now take those functions over.

Later: My wifi seems to disconnect and reconnect a bunch of times since the update. I have restarted multiple times and it still is happening. I wasn;t having htis before so I doubt it is my router. I'll delete my remembered wifi networks and try anew to see if that fixes it.

Forgive me if this has been asked, I but I can't find a good/solid answer on this......Anyone know if this is coming to the the wifi BestBuy Flyer? I have read rumors and I know that there are some custom ROMS that have it, but a real HTC build would be nice to start with.......

Thanks all

I have a few questions for the ones that accept the update.

1. How much app storage is available? Is it all unified or partition?
2. How many pages are there? With GB the flyer and view have 7.
3. Is bloatware on the view?
4. Is the web browser the same or new in some ways?

I'm an iphone/ipad and kinda play around with 1.6 before but ill send up some of the memory portion
See if this helps.. its 32gb, i'm not sure how to read it yet, I have a 16gb microsd on it also. I haven't move the apps over to the microsd yet but its there.

- by pages do you mean the main page for the icons and widgets ? In 2.3, there should be 7, I am pretty sure, i upgraded to 3.2 last night and its down to 5. But it looks like you can fit more into the same page

- bloatware - there are a few that you can't uninstall.. stuff like sprint zone, sprint hot spot, mobile wallet, etc.. a few.

- browser - not sure what you mean by that, but you can dl other ones, opera, dolphin, etc

I've noticed that the HTC widgets, like Music, Watch, etc that used to fill a page are now more narrow horizontally and you can fit a couple of them on one page. I actually kind of liked the full page view for some of them, like Music. Doesn't look like you can resize widgets under HTC Sense though. Also have ADW Launcher running and it's working well.

Thank you HTC for renewing my faith in my tablet! I was about to give up and switch to something else cause I had heard HC was not coming to this piece. Glad I waited it out and got it! Loves the new layout, its like I got a new device!

Extremely excited about honeycomb coming to View 4G! Don't notice any warm issues and battery seems the same, I think. Pen works extremely well now! 1) Is it just me or did everything get smaller? I was wondering if I'm straining my eyes now? Slight headache... Maybe I'm crazy. 2) Where are the widgets now? I cant find where the extra widget options went. I want to customize them again. 3) Is Netflix displaying the videos differently? Possibly smaller? No way, I must be crazy. 4) It's as if everything shrank to accomodate the new navi/soft buttons, but I must have some settings wrong since the hc upgrade. A little background: I just recently bought this view and had a night or 2 to play around with gingerbread. I couldn't put the view down. Netflix, comic apps, internet, notepad and stylus. Everything felt full and big and fit the screen. Now I'm wondering if things got better or smaller? Am I in love with gingerbread? No way, right? 5) Did the d@mn internet browser get slower?

Resolved. I found the widgets, in the plus symbol in the top right corner of the home screen. I do like honeycomb, just wish you could enlarge icons and widgets and that the new soft keys would disappear completely while watching netflix so the video can use the whole screen.

Browser, does the default HTC web browser look different, run slower or run faster?

I have the flyer and I have no major issues besides, it will once in a while reset sense UI if you surf the internet all day. I.e. YouTube, engadget, autoblog and Joystiq...and some porn.

1. Has anyone surf the internet heavy to see if anything will reset?
2. When you go to the default task manager, how much free memory is available? This is referring to system RAM.
3. Do live wallpapers, UI or any apps run slower?

Might as well lose the tablet and get a new phone! The resized app thumbnails would be great if you could use the whole damn screen! What's the point if the top and bottom of the screen are unusable. Same feeling about all the resized widgets. If this is a tablet based OS then why are all the apps phone sized. Just a few rants that may subside after a little use.
