HD Desire phone and it fell into a liquid detergent

i use HTC HD Desire phone and it fell into a liquid detergent. after cleaning it and drying the screen went black on putting it on. what went wrong and what do i do

It sounds like the internals may be damaged. Since detergent isn't as easy to get out as liquid I'm not sure what you could do to fix it. Rice may work... But doubt it.

Welcome to Android Central! I can't imagine liquid detergent does anything besides bad things to the internals of a phone. You could try the old trick of putting the phone in a ziploc bag full of uncooked rice, sealing it, and letting it sit overnight, but that will just absorb the water, not the residue of the detergent.
