Hey guys, so I have met my first negative issue with my XL2. The adapter for the headphones has started playing up. I use Bluetooth normally but when I had to switch to wired as my headphones ran out of juice, the adapter just would not be recognised. Over and over I had wiggle it, pull and push it in and out before it found sound. Even when I paused Spotify for about 20 seconds, same issue. I tried different apps, YouTube, Spotify, Netflix, all the same issue. Each time I'd say it took approximately 2 to 3 minutes before I could hear anything. Am I alone in this? I'm a bit gutted because this now taints a phone I really like.

Every once in a great while I run into an issue. If plugging it again doesn't solve it I reboot and then it's back to normal.
If it's happening very frequently it could be a bad dongle or the phone. My suggestion is to contact Google and they will most likely be able to sort it out.

Do you think contacting them will help even though I got the phone through a provider here in the uk?

cheers for the advice, it worked a treat. firstly, I had no idea I had continued online support from within the phone itself, that's pretty cool. apparently it's a software issue and will be addressed in the next update. for now, if and when it happens all I have to do is reboot with the adapter in place and it works. I think the adapter need to be connected before the headphones are. I have the two connected all the time so I think that was the issue. they say it takes 5 seconds for the phone to recognize it has the adapter connected.

I usually connect the dongle already attached to the headset. I'll have to see if that makes a difference.

9 times out of 10 it's not an issue as I'm usually on Bluetooth, but it needs to work well or it'll bug me. We all need these things to work well as the choice out there sometimes comes down to the littlest of things with regards to phone choice. A very small thing like this, and let's be honest, it's not a huge thing will have me looking for another handset and I don't want that as I feel this one just fits my preferences almost perfectly.
