So today during my daily commute I noticed the audio was absolutely trash. At first I was worried I blew a speaker in my car or the main deck.

So once I got to work i tried my sony headphones and they did the same.

It sounds like there is no bass and the audio channels are extremely muted. Very strange.

I'm not sure what to test next as its not my car or headphones.

Tried reboot.

Tried battery pull.

I highly doubt its a software issue.

Ideas?

Taking it to a sprint store tonight, but till then was hoping for a fix.

I am sitting here listening to slayer while reading your post and I just heard what you're talking about. Really strange up and down slightly muffed sound. And I found a fix already. It is the stock music app. I pulled up the same song on the amazon mp3 player and it doesn't do it. Give that a try. Google music doesn't do it either.

Mine was doing it with Pandora, Poweramp and Stock player though.

The thing is when I took it in just before close last night the guy said to me "You're the second one today"

They even plugged in headphones to test it and agreed this does not sound like the demo unit.

The new one I got is working perfect again with all apps, so strange.

Hope this is not a recurring problem.
