Solved my problem on an unrelated phone thanks to this forum. Your case idea had me check around the mic and I found that I had dropped the phone bending the plastic which affected the way the sound moved as with the case. Cleared the mic path replaced damaged foam and echo gone. Thanks
Unbelievable! I tried this tonight and IT WORKED! Local and long distance, mic and speakerphone - people could actually hear me and I could hear them without the rustling, echo, feedback, corruption! Will it stay? Hope so. Happy camper!
I have a Note 5 with otter defender using a blue parrot 350 xt. Blue tooth. So far the "talk back" solution seems to have done the trick. I've had my note 5 five for over a year and my wife has one also doing the same echo. Seems to have started with one of the latest O/S upgrades.
I got my Samsung Galaxy S6 last September 2015. People started telling me the echo was so bad they couldn't talk to me. After some trial and error, I concluded that it's only when I use ear buds (not bluetooth but plug in ear buds). I've tried 5 different kinds of ear buds and the echo is still there. The other issue is that it's not 100% of the time. There are times that I'm using my ear buds and people don't hear the echo. Usually, if there is one, we try to hang up and one of us calls back. If I use the phone speakers, there is no echo. This is very frustrating for me because I use my ear buds all of the time in order to keep my hands free when driving or at work. None of the solutions on any forum has worked for me. Has anyone else noticed it's only when you use ear buds? And if so, have you found a solution? #frustrated
I have the exact same issue as you (Galaxy S6 Edge w/Spigen Slim Case). Echo sometimes occurs but only when using earbuds.
I should note, I never heard complaints when using the samsung earbuds. Only when using third party earbuds. That being said, the issue is intermittant and so I don't believe it is the earbuds. This makes it hard to find a solution in the forums online.
