So for a few months I've had heavy WiFi issues, since then I have switched to Project Fi and now I'm having heavy Cellular network and wifi connection issues. My phone says I'm connected to either WiFi or network data but my apps won't load. The WiFi shows as connected with Internet connection but web pages and apps won't load properly. When I'm on network data websites and apps won't load at all and I have to keep turning the airplane mode on and off or the phone on and off. When I first started noticing these problems I was on Marshmallow so I decided that I shouldn't panic and just wait for Nougat to see if that fixed the issue. Now that I have Nougat it is worse. Can anyone steer me in the right direction so I don't make a mistake and sell this phone and get a 5X.

I don't think that getting a 5X will solve your problem.

Have you tried using an app like FCC Speed Test https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...ps/details?id=com.samknows.fcc&token=6NHTnD8A (or any similar app) to measure your upload/download/latency speeds on both WiFi and cellular data?

Does this problem happen only on your home WiFi or all others?

Have you looked at Settings -> Battery -> History details (touch the graph in the Battery screen to get to the History details screen) to look at your overall cellular signal?

You could also use an app like GSam Battery Monitor Pro https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...etails?id=com.gsamlabs.bbm.pro&token=aIwDWcAj (there's also a free version) to see a better breakdown of cellular quality

For comparison purposes, since I'm also using Google Fi, here's a typical run of the FCC app for both WiFi

and cellular

Of course your WiFi speeds will depend on what speeds you pay for from your provider (this happens to be on Cox; 2nd tier from bottom IIRC) and your cellular will depend on your signal at the time. YMMV.
