This is David a never ever smartphone user
After recently receiving my first ever mobile phone, a moto g, searched this evening for a board to best help me come up to speed using an Android smartphone. Rather ironic for someone over several current years doing all the RMA debug and testing of telephony media gateway switches for a major VOIP phone system corp. Read through this Introductions forum Sticky list and as someone writing occasional documentation for decades, and an Internet person since earliest days, appreciate your detailed thorough information, well done!
Have worked in hi tech hardware here in Silicon Valley from before most of you were born but long ago stopped keeping on top of technology. It has become impossibly vast, all just changes so fast, and what was is soon history while what we once knew, used, and understood fades. I expect to struggle at times figuring out how to use my smartphone with its Android system and vast numbers of apps, thus expect to occasionally resort to asking questions on these forums after getting stuck even after carefully reading user documentation, web help sites, and web searching for answers.
This evening was wondering how to launch Google Now that I'd loaded and configured a couple days ago. I looked over several supposed how to sites for GN before finally landing on one that started by relating one needs to swipe up from the bottom of a Home screen to launch. Hmmm... I wondered why developers chose that instead of touching a screen icon? And as someone that has reviewed myriad procedures know those creating such often leave out the most obvious.
