I didn't see this section before so I haven't introduced myself here. I am using a Redmi Note 10 5G phone and I'm currently on MIUI 13 Android 12. The experience has been somewhat buggy but it seems others are also having issues with YouTube looking at Xiaomi forums.

Yes, I’m considering buying a Xiaomi phone myself currently. I fear no software bugs, alleged or real.

Have you tried resetting or anything?

I have rebooted several times, but not resetting as that would erase my data. Erasing the cache on the YouTube app is a temporary solution but the bug will return after some time.

Welcome to the forums. There's a workaround that worked for many users, change the system font type and see if the problem persist after the restart.

I don't have a Xiaomi phone but according to those members you can change the font style in 'Themes'. If you don't get that option you need to change the Region to India first, change the font in Themes and then go back to your original region.

The best way is to use the search option in your settings.

All I see is the option to change my wallpaper, I don't think that's gonna help me (and besides I like my current one).

I have 2 devices on MIUI 13.

I wasn't aware of a You Tube issue but I did try a different Theme (free automatic downloads from Xiaomi but a separate developer)
about 2 months ago and it did mess up a lot of things and it took me a while to get back to the original Theme from a different route in Settings.

I can recreate the route I found if you think you tried a new Theme. The You Tube issue I can look in to but Javier and Belodion seem to have come across a fix.

Themes for me is right below Home Screen, and Display.

Were the other reports also involving the Redmi Note 10 5g?
I wonder if it's related to the Mediatek 700 with it's Mali G57 graphics. One of their early budget 5g chipsets.

There's another member here (we're both in the UK) who is very adept at using the Mi Community forums, which apparently have improved since I tried them 18 months ago. Maybe you have tried there too on the Mi Community app?

Yes admittedly I haven't read all the posts there but I have read some pertaining to the bugs with MIUI 13. As I remember there were no solutions given. (YouTube is working fine with Firefox browser on my phone.)
