My name is Brian (Cassidy is a nickname I've had for years). I've been a member for a while, but never really introduced myself.
I have been using smartphones for almost 8 years now... I started with a Kyocera 7135 Palm phone and today I have a Thunderbolt. I have gone through Palm, Windows Mobile twice, two BlackBerries and now the Androids. My first experience with Android was the original Droid... a friend of mine works for Verizon and sold me on it. I rooted the thing (following instructions found here and on XDA) about a month after I bought it just to get rid of the ads on the Web and in apps, and eventually ended up trying ROMs and ended up running CM7 on it. Now, the Droid belongs to my two boys, and along with my Thunderbolt I have an Acer Iconia Tab.
I am the Systems Administrator for a friend's small business as well as a full time student finishing my bachelor's in computer science, but I have been working on computer systems since I was in kindergarten.
I have found many answers to my Android questions here-- so many in fact that I hardly ever have to ask what I want to know! Thanks to all of the members of the community who post helpful information! Hopefully I will be able to return that favor by answering others' questions.
