So i need some help compiling the source. For some reason everytime i complile it does not create the image files. It creates the folders but not the images. If someone could compile and send me the images that would be great. If at all possible, while compiling try make -j4 otapackage. That should make a flashable zip. Also, please compile the kernel as well.

Thank you for the help from anybody that does help.

I have ran into same issue as well. I haven't had time too look into. been tied up for the last couple days. If I find something out I will send you some info

I think i am just missing some of the packages that are supposed to be installed or configured.. I am really not sure

I use 12.04 but that's because there's some cool software for 12.04 that isn't available for 10.04 but I am starting to miss the old gnome interface on 10.04, unity confuses me :(

Try this in terminal
sudo apt-get install gnome-panel

Once you install the classic gnome desktop you need to logout from the existing session. Once you are at logon screen click the option to change your session then choose Gnome Classic to logon

Aren't the source files missing key drivers...? (What spirit should currently be doing so the kernel runs correctly with firmware?

I thought LG provided the drivers :what: and Sprint use Google source to make it work

i believe you have too use google source code and lg and merge them together before you can complie the kernel or ics from source. its alot of headache too do

LG's newer handset such as the viper , correct me if anyone knows otherwise, changed their filesystem / partitions, therefore compiling via old method adding gappps easily , is a much more complicated process. And the driver thing, I think LG provides driver's left for sprint to configure/cap/modify/whatever they do to force us to pay more $ for things. ;\

Something like that yeah, remember we talked how not fully google supported, I need to confirm w/ the dev that's been explaining it to me b/c frankly i dont fully get it.

Hm. None has been able to compile open source yet wormy, bottom line is that it's lacking, agree or disagree about drivers, no biggie...it is what it is though...as someone said above;

Work with what we have...theme, deodex,test out different buikd, prop settings..minifrees-oom groupings, design a boot animation, fix power manager, disable sprint forced camera shutter, edit signal bar icons, flash beats audio, Max out adreno 220 to force hardware ui. I'm quite pleased with my phone right now...if i get a chance I'll gladly toss together an update.zip themed/minimal/tweaked. let's see what happens this week...update service running way more than it used to..

Edit; they are bare drivers lg provides, purposely leaving pieces non functional so sprint can release when ready, yes exactly as I stated, i love intellectual conversing, fill me in if I'm wrong, i truly do want to learn more as to what the many whom have tried are running into, interests me
