HELP How can i root Galaxy Tab 2 10.1(4.0.4/P5113)

Hello,

Im kinda new to Android. Has anyone found instructions on how to root the Tab 2 running 4.0.4? I have never rooted before and am kinda nervous, so if anyone has a method that worked for them, please share...

I have a P5113 and 4.0.4 and did it. The process was actually super fast.

Instructions - READ all three. The process was confusing for me so i needed all three to understand it. make sure you use the right stuff for your Tab 2:

For Clockwork install with Odin 1.85

Flash ClockworkMod Touch Recovery 6.0 for the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1

How to Root Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and install CWM Recovery

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1: How to root and install ClockworkMod Recovery

make sure it is GT-p5113_ClockworkMod-Touch_recovery_6.0.1.2.tar others failed for me:

GT-p5113_ClockworkMod-Touch_recovery_6.0.1.2.tar

I then flashed this root from CWM:

Make sure it is cwm-root-gtab2.zip

After rooting you need to go to Play Store and install Super User.

ASAP make a backup in CWM.

As I said painless. Understanding how to push the buttons for Bootloader and CWM is the tough part.
