help !! Htc one making noises when rang or when trying to ring

Hi can anyone help me .. posting for my son .. his new htc1 about 2 months old is making mad noises when i try to ring him sounds like water is running or he is underground .
His voice cannot be heard . He has also tried to ring me back and its happening then also .

anybody any idea what the problem could be !! we cant return as it was bought of someone who got an up grade

Sorry man, but it's not new if you bought it used. You should call HTC for a warranty repair.
