Help installing jellybean

Ok, I made a backup of my phone though Rom manager's "backup current rom." Does that mean my phone is now backed up? I also copied that to my computer for safe keeping.

Yes and good thinking. Now wipe wipe wipe if you plan on flashing!

Wipe everything. Its best to start fresh. If your worried about app data, use titanium backup.

Ok, but when you said "It will then ask to backup current ROM, wipe cache and data, wipe dalvik," does that mean it has wiped everything it needs to?

How do I do that dmmarck, using the instructions chubb posted on page two?

Ask chubb, I'm on a different recovery than you. If his worked without doing it, then try it, but be ready to restore from the nandroid in case it doesn't work :).

I've also been pondering the jelly bean flash. Hate to leave my battery friendly bugless beast though.

Just check all three boxes and you should be good. That's all I did.

FWIW, I advise against using ROM Manager to flash. It can screw up badly.

That being said, it usually works :).

I backup apps once a week. I backup the whole phone once a month unless I'm about to flash a ROM.

I haven't had any issues using ROM manager. Used it on my droid, tbolt and the nexus.
