HELP!! Location Off -- after rooting

On my home screen widget (HTC clock & weather) it says I am in a city in Zhuhai, China, I tried changing several "location" setting. Does rooting somehow affect your location settings. Has anyone else had this issue or any other issue with location-based services?

Try dragging the widget to the "edit" tab at the bottom and then set your location. I have read of others having problems and if memory serves, this worked.

same here. And I think I accidentally unrooted and im still having the problem

EDIt - It shows the right temp and conditions, just doesnt say where I am, just "current location"

After ready many forums and trying all the things they said to do, nothing was working, SO I called Verizon. I don't like calling them because usually the tech's are useless but this time something they said worked! The "4G Expert" who I was on the line with suggested I pull the SIM card put it back in and reboot, YIPEE it works now!
