Help! Locked out of my phone :/

Ok so yesterday my little cousin was playing with my phone and locked me out. It's saying my username and password for my gmail account is wrong but I know for a fact it's not. I have no problem resetting my phone, but I've unlocked my phone so I'm using at&t. I'm scared when I reset my phone to factory settings I won't be able to use it. Please HELP!

Problem solved on my HTC Tattoo running on Android 1.5 . Thanks to missmoniquemoore
enter the email that you've kept trying, and enter the password as 'null'.

This was a lifesaver! My wife messed with my Fender MyTouch until I got the dreaded 'enter email/password screen'. After 100 attempts with a password and email I KNEW were right (triple checked against Google online on my laptop) I found this. 'null' huh? Whatever it takes...
