Help me Downgrade froyo!

I'm not very experienced with this whole Android rooting scene. So i'm just in need of a downgrade.

Idk what I should post. But all I know is Im running 2.2.1
build number VZW
ERI Version: 5
baseband BP_C_1.09.07p

and bootloader 30.04

Why do you need to downgrade and what does root have to do with it. I don't think you can. With root its possible to upgrade with the ability to downgrade. When 2.2 was leaked we were about to go back to 2.1 as long as the bootloader was not updated from doing ota. You have 2.2.1 and the newest bootloader. I think your stuck where your at. What do you want to gain by downgrading?

No disrespect intended but if you are not familiar with rooting, I would say you might not want to try downgrade a device because once you install a new upgrade that updates the kernel as well, makes flash a previous version over the new one difficult task and isn't a task for the none experienced user because you are taking a good chance of bricking your device.

Why are you wanting to convert back anyway, if I can ask?

Agree with everything that's been posted above. If you are having problems with your 2.2.1 froyo perhaps we can help.

I would rather do a Factory Data Reset to get everything back to a clean slate and start over than think about downgrading the software.
