So, ex-IP5'er here, always jailbroke to get the phone the way I liked it. One of my major apps was always IBlacklist, standard type of call blocker. Setup the blacklist and set it to go to VM or just hang up. I'm starting vacation tomorrow and really don't want to talk/think about work. I love it when I get back and say; "hummmm I had terrible reception, so sorry." I want to set a particular contact to go to vm or just ring or hang up. Google Voice did not really cut it for me.

I've tried 4 different call blockers and nothing works. I would appreciate it if someone knows one that works. I'm on AT&T if that matters.

Thanks!

Go into that contact, it should be a option that says block caller, this is one of the features I like about HTCs.

I think its a stock Android setting! :) I dont use it much but it seems to work well.

Thanks for both answers, I should of been more detailed, my fault. I did test the block feature initially and it goes to voicemail, I get the VM message and bam I'm sitting at the beach and my head is in a computer. I was hoping for a solution that would allow me to say set my boss's number to just ring and ring, no vm, no message. Or something similar. Thanks again.

I use Mr. Number. It works wonders for me. You have all sorts of options including blocking from a certain area code which I needed.

I tried Mr Number and Current Call ID and neither allow the "answer and hang up" option. And I still get voicemail notifications. Please let me know if I'm doing something wrong, but I tried them both. I use my wifes phone or home phone to test with. Thx again!

I just checked and Current caller I'd does give you the option to answer and hang up. I have the paid version.

andriver; I can only give you some positive karma, but, could you possibly test that it works? It actually comes up with an error every time I try it. It says; "app stopped working, sending notice to them".

I just tried it with the option to answer and hang up. I got the same error you did.

Thanks a lot for trying and posting, super appreciated! Like I said, I tried I think 5 now and all of them have the same issue, it must be some action of the phone that will not allow the app to intercept it and do something. Any android savvy developers care to comment. Is that from the carrier or inherent in the phone?
