HELP ME stop spam notifications!

[Android Central Question]

I have already read every thread on this subject and it's not helping. Here's the story. I downloaded the Starz app which came with a notifications option. I stupidly selected yes to receiving notifications. Now I have deleted the Starz app and the notifications are still appearing. So deleting the app and turning off notifications obviously does not help me. I want to know how I can stop the notifications (preferably without a factory reset!).

Welcome to the forums. Next time you get a notification swipe down from the status bar, long press the notification and see which app is sending it.
