HELP! optimus v keeps booting into ClockworkMod Recovery v3.0.0.6

SOMEBODY HELP ME PLEASE. this is a second phone i have done this too!(im just a noob) i rooted my phone with no big deal.(Optimus V) installed ROM Manager, and flashed CWM. i have even flashed custom roms with ease. but i wanted to start brand new. so i unrooted my phone, but i still backed the stock rom up. then i went into settings, did a factory reset. now my phone just keeps booting into CWM v3.0.0.6. i have backup and restored, cleaned off the phone, and everything else! PLEASE HELP! i dont know what to do. = (

Then flash a new rom.

yea the root is kind of a one time thing. you just keep the root it wont hurt anything even if you flash a stock rom.

i think your problem was trying to UN root.

i had a hell of a time wrongly rooting a phone and having to unroot it to do it the right way. oh, it was such a mess

What if my phone wont connect to the computer. What should I do then? I cannot type any adb commands and I am in a recovery loop also.

Could you explain in more detail as how to do this? Do I just do adb shell in cmd, then type those commands?

You should first flash a different recovery as this method seems to not work with CWM, try this one: Custom Recovery Optimus V - Android Forums

You flash it through adb. Place the recovery onto the root of the sd card naming it vrecovery.img and then type in these commands through command prompt:

Navigate to the folder containing adb.exe (it is included with superoneclick and the SDK). You should also have the drivers installed. Get them from the rooting guide if you don't them them.

adb shell
su
flash_image recovery /sdcard/vrecovery.img

You should be able to install whatever rom you want after you do this.
