HELP! OTA update for 4.2.2 bricked my device.....

What a bummer...! I pulled my Verizon Galaxy Nexus out today as a backup device and noticed the OTA update for 4.2.2, so of course, I proceeded with the update only to receive a bricked, dead black screened device.

I have pulled the battery, held the power button down for 30seconds, tried the volume up/down while holding the power button to no avail. No charging status light or battery icon displayed while attempting to charge. Plugging the Nexus into my laptop of PC is also of no help.

The device was not previously rooted and is was less than a few days old (warranty) before I stopped using it. No other issues to date.


Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

If it won't even turn on I doubt it was the OTA that broke your phone...sounds like your battery is dead and isn't charging either. Where was battery % at when you turned it on and did you have it charging while it was doing the update?
